NEW! Olympics Sports Camp

August 5th – August 9th

Kindergarten – 6th Grade

Full Day: 9am – 3pm
Half Day: 9am – noon
Before Care: 7:30 – 9am
After Care: 3-6 pm

The Olympics have come to Kenston! Campers are divided into “countries”, make a flag, and learn about the history and philosophy of the Olympic games.

The Olympic spirit and true sportsmanship are emphasized throughout the week. Sports offered include track and field, soccer, hockey, basketball, and more!

Campers also learn about the culture and history of their adopted country and make a flag to carry at the “Closing Ceremonies” and “Presentation of Medals” (parents are welcome to attend).

Kids Should pack a lunch if staying full day, waterbottle, snack if needed.

Modern Foil Fencing Camp

August 5th – 9th

9:00am – 11:00am
Gardiner Center

This camp is designed to introduce students ages 8-14 years of age to the fundamentals of modern foil fencing.

Instruction includes stretching, footwork, lunges, attack, parry-riposte, strategy, tactics, techniques and bouting.

Fun and safety are emphasized. Fencing improves hand-eye coordination, agility, dexterity, and stamina, as well as developing social skills and manners.

All equipment is provided.

Young Hoopsters Basketball Camp

July 29th – August 1st

Ages 4 – 8

The Young Hoopsters Camp is organized and run by Gary Love, who specializes in teaching the fundamentals of basketball: shooting, passing and ball handling.

Gary is gifted in teaching small children, bringing out the best in them while making the program fun and exciting!

NEW! Stick & Stones Sports Camp

July 29th – August 2nd

Kindergarten – 6th Grade

After Care: 3-6 pm

Students have a blast playing and learning about the fundamentals of hockey and lacrosse: the two Canadian sports that are exploding in popularity in the United States!

The program will focus on game play, but the students will also learn a lot about the history of the sports and the aspects of Native American culture that are inherent in lacrosse.

All equipment will be provided. No checking or high sticking will be permitted in either sport.

Kids should pack a lunch if staying full day, waterbottle, snack if needed.

NEW! The Knight School Summer Chess Camp

July 29th – August 2nd 1pm-4pm

Avoid the summer brain drain!

The Knight School Summer Chess Camps are the perfect way to get ready to join your school’s official chess team and chess party in the fall.

Chess Camp has a fun and friendly spirit and is a great way to keep the brain sharp during the summer while having a real blast!

Chess Camp is a super-fun, high-energy chess experience in which kids ages 6 and up celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, music-driven puzzlers for prizes, colorful silicone Tactixbands, funny movies, and chess clock tourneys in which the winner gets the loser’s Mardi-Gras beads!

Laughter, fast-clocks, and compelling teaching approaches make this camp the summer’s highlight for the hundreds of students every year.

Bomber Cross Country Camp

July 22nd – July 26th 9am-11am

1st – 8th Grade at KHS

Join the Kenston High School Cross Country teams for a week full of running, team work and FUN.

ALL LEVELS WELCOME and each level will be instructed differently! No matter what level you begin on, you WILL improve by the end of the week. This camp will not be solely running. You will participate in fun activities everyday that stress the importance of a positive attitude, team work, team bonding, and most importantly having fun. After the 4 days of instruction, the camp will end with a “FUN RUN” on Friday!

Everyone will receive a t-shirt and a healthy snacks. The camp will be coached by alumni & current athletes along with Coach Ickes. Please meet at the Kenston Trails Donor Wall by the HS Teacher’s Parking Lot.

Please bring water everyday and wear appropriate running gear.
Register by 7/20 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

NEW! Ultimate Warrior Camp

July 22nd – July 28th

Join us at the Ultimate Warrior Camp for fitness, fun and “Survivor” type team challenges!

Age-appropriate and safe activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite . Games and tasks this week include obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, photo Scavenger Hunt, and many other fun activities designed to teach cooperation and teamwork while also developing self-esteem.
