2019 Bainbridge Ox Roast & Fun Run

August 24, 2019

The 8th Annual Community Ox Roast
is scheduled for Saturday August 24, 2019
at Centerville Mills Park; 12:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Our dinner consists of a generous portion of slow-roasted sliced roast beef, homemade baked beans, fresh-picked Sirna’s corn-on-the-cob,  dinner roll, side salad, and one soft drink/water.   A children’s meal consists of a hot dog, macaroni & cheese or chips, and a soft drink/water.  Each Ox Roast ticket gives access to all of the day’s activities, entertainment, and events as well (except Fun Run – see at right).   Beer Garden access for those 21 and over.

Proceeds from our Ox Roast support student scholarships, the Bainbridge Area Food for Friends food pantry, and philanthropic donations to community programs.

The Community Ox Roast is a great way for our many community organizations to showcase what they are about, as well as bring the community together to share in a great day of fun.  A schedule of events featuring these organizations is being developed and will be posted here once organized.  The day is geared for all ages.  Look forward to great food and fun at Centerville Mills!

Auburn Township is Seeking Your Support!

The Auburn Board of Trustees has been actively seeking grants to update our community park. Many grant applications ask if the township residents support the direction in which the grant funding is being used.

We see a need for a picnic shelter / pavilion at the Auburn Community Park. It would be a great source of shade to sit under while watching your favorite team play. It also could be made available to rent for private birthday parties, family picnics, etc.

If this is something you would support, please take a minute to fill out this short on-line survey.

Regards,
Nancy Dolezal
Auburn Township Administrative Assistant

This year’s NGWSD theme is Lead Her Forward, to honor the many ways that sports push girls and women to achieve excellence and realize their boundless potential. The Women’s Sports Foundation applauds the vital role played by the individuals and organizations championing girls and women in sports: advocates seeking to protect Title IX and advance gender equity, athletes using their powerful platform to inspire greatness, and coaches working daily to unlock girls’ limitless capabilities. This year, NGWSD celebrates all the girls and women across the nation leading us forward into a bright future.
