League Details (PreK-5th)

SEASON:  May - July

*2019 REGISTRATION DEADLINE - APRIL 30th* 

T-Ball CoEd (PreK-Kindergarten) - This division is grade-based for boys and girls currently in Kindergarten or who will be attending Kindergarten in the Fall.   It is an introductory league focusing the proper mechanics of throwing, catching, hitting and base running.  Hitting from the tee builds the necessary hand-eye coordination and muscle memory to be successful when hitting a pitch.

Coach Pitch (1st-2nd Grades) -  This division introduces hitting a ball pitched by your coach.  Learning, having fun and building teamwork are the emphasis while teaching proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.

Minors (3rd-4th Grades) - This is an exciting year for young players, especially aspiring pitchers and catchers to develop a love for baseball. Pitching, stealing and sliding are introduced with an emphasis on reinforcing proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.

Majors (5th-6th Grades) - This division increases in the amount of competitiveness and fine tunes the skills that were introduced in Minors.

*Registrations will only be accepted after the deadline if there are openings in the league and there will be a $15 late fee.

Start Date: Saturday, May 11 (all-leagues begin)
First Game: Saturday, June 1
Last Game: Sunday, July 14
Games played: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
Rain makeups: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, some occasional Saturdays
Tournament: Minors & Majors tournaments will be held the weekend of July 8-14

Coaches are needed for all divisions.  If you can volunteer to be a head or assistant coach, please Register as a Coach.  Please monitor the KCE website for updates and information.

League Details - Middle & High School

SEASON:  May - July

Pony (7th-8th Grades) - These teams will play in the Mel Harder League. This league travels to local communities and must follow playtime rules and travel guidelines established in for the MH league. Pony baseball provides a little higher competition level and players will be expected to participate in practices, be at all games, and be a member of the team that represents their community.

Colt (U17) - These teams are age-based and players will play in the Geauga Baseball League. This league travels to local communities and must follow playtime rules and travel guidelines established in for the GBL league. Colt baseball provides a little higher competition level and players will be expected to participate in practices, be at all games, and be a member of the team that represents their community. The player must be 17 or under on May 1st of the current year.
