Please note that American Red Cross blood drives are essential and in direct support to other emergency services remaining open to sustain our fight against coronavirus and those most vulnerable to it, patients with chronic illness or disease. It is imperative that we collect every unit we can, as over 6,000 blood drives and 200,000 donations have been cancelled in recent days. A severe shortage of blood puts doctors in the position of having to choose which patient gets the lifesaving blood.
You can still go out and give blood. We’re worried about potential blood shortages in the future. Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.
— US Surgeon General, Jerome Adams
We understand public health concerns, but want to stress that donating blood is a safe process and Red Cross blood drives have the highest safety standards. Here are just a few of our vigilant measures to protect the health of all involved in our blood drives.
American Red Cross Using Sterile Collection Sets
American Red Cross Spacing Beds 6 Feet Apart Where Possible
American Red Cross Having Hand Sanitizer Available
American Red Cross Using Aseptic Scrubs on Arms
American Red Cross Donor and Staff Temperature Checks Before Entering Drives

A Letter from Jennifer Moore, Executive Director

Dear Friends of Kenston Community Education,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during these uncertain times. Like so many, I have a heavy heart as I hear each day about the impact COVID-19 is having on our community.
Prior to this unprecedented circumstance, KCE was busy gearing up to start our spring season, fully registering for spring classes and sports. We know that Kenston Community Education will be serving the community for years to come, however, we question if we will be able to have a spring season.  Due to KCE being a user funded organization, we have been forced to suspend all operations for the immediate future. However, the Kenston Community Education Board of Directors are committed to fulfill any obligation we owe our customers, either by being able to run the program in the near future or account crediting for classes that we cannot.
We continue to monitor this situation closely and are looking forward to the day that we can come together to learn, play and grow here at Kenston Community  Education.
 Jennifer Moore

Executive Director
