It was a nice day today… thanks to everyone for staying off the fields until they are ready.   It looks like we should start drying out by Thursday afternoon and all day Friday …maybe the weekend will be a go for soccer !!!  🙂

Today, I was leaving the office and I ran into a mom who was leaving  Young Engineers club, after her son showed me this cool project of wiring, aluminum and a light bulb, we got to chatting.  Turns out she did not know what bus her child should ride over from Timmons.   I think one of my failings is that I think everyone knows what I know or at least were to get the information…that’s a mistake!  We try to put all information on the website but we do miss sometimes or we think its easily accessible but its NOT!  That has got to be frustrating.  I will be putting bus information  on the Parents Page  which and be found on our website.(
You can also txt me anytime with questions at 440-591-9011
Visit our parents page and give us feed back on what you would like to find there…its a work in progress

I just want to thank all the wonderful coaches that are patiently waiting to get their teams outside to play.  Especially the coaches that help come up with a solution…Mike Fink your awesome… finding extra gym time for KFC!!  You people have real jobs but always seem to find time to lend a hand to help me do my job!! I could not do it with out you!!

Lets hope this weather warms up…the  weather man says more snow on Thursday……. 🙁

Its a rainy Monday…do I need to say more…sigh
I was talking with a mom about sportsmanship today in the office.  She was telling me that her child experienced a poor sport after the game this weekend.  The players were lining up to shake hands and one of the players from the other team was hitting our kids hands hard and saying “suck it”  every time.  You get the picture. The Kenston coach did the right thing and reported it to the other coach.  We do not know what happened after that.

These times are great teaching lessons for our children.  One of my kids was crazy competitive  and she would FREAK if she lost…I never caught her being a poor sport,  I was looking for it and she knew it.  We had several times where the opposing team would spit in their hands or hit too hard. I used those times as teach moments.  Asking her how she felt when this happened  and pointing out how much she hates to lose as well.  I never wanted my children to lose the desire to win however I did want them to learn that in every contest some one will walk away not winning and how you behave after that determines if you are a loser or not.

Finished a very busy weekend.  Soccer started yesterday and I was very glad to get in the scrimmages in before the rain.   This weather is killing me!  The fields are now saturated!!

All games were cancelled for travel soccer today …I felt really bad for the KFC game that was suppose to be on the turf today at 5:00 pm.  The large goal nets were not on.  I mistook the smaller goal as being the correct size.   I was surprised to see that the Twinsburg team that came out to play us would not even scrimmage because the goals that had next were to small.  I guess it makes a huge difference I am not a soccer player.   I am making sure everything is proper by next weekend.
