Gardiner is CLOSED

The Gardiner Center is being painted and the building will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 28th & Thursday, July 29th. KCE staff will be responding to emails on Thursday, July 29 during regular office hours.

  • Fencing Camp has been relocated to Timmons Multipurpose Room.
  • Morning Exercise classes have been relocated to Timmons Gym.
  • The deadlines for Flag Football and Rec Soccer have been extended to next Tuesday, August 3rd.

Bombers Girls Lacrosse Skills Camp

Come learn more about the fastest growing sport in America! Join us as we share our passion for lacrosse. We welcome all skill levels to grow their understanding of core basics and some fun advanced skills and drills.

Camp Staff – Head Coach Sean Kobunski and High School Staff along with current Bomber lacrosse players.

Please bring Lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and water bottle.

Bomber Boys Lacrosse Camp

July 26 – July 30

Come join us for The Bomber Boys Lacrosse Camp – learn to improve your stick skills and overall lacrosse acumen.

Drills are high paced and up tempo. Campers are divided up by age and skill level to best ensure improvement during the week. So, whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned veteran… you’ll be sure to learn something at Bomber lacrosse camp.

Players need to provide all their own equipment. It is recommended that campers have some (even if it’s less than a year) experience.

Please bring Full Equipment, including a mouth guard, a pinnie and water each day.

Creative Writing Camp

Is there a budding author inside of your child? Are they creative thinkers, but need someone to help them organize their thoughts and put it down on paper? This class will help them learn how to develop a character, create a structured story with an exciting opening, thoughtful middle and conclusion which brings all of the pieces together. Fun brainstorming activities and lots of graphic organizers and storyboards will be used and shared.

The goal of the class will be to produce a story in a creative book form for the young author to share. Lots of graphic organizers and storyboards will be used and shared.

Math Mania Camp

July 26 – July 29

Looking for a fun and creative way to have your child practice his/her math facts? Students will learn to play some simple, but creative math games, such as ‘Math Baseball’, ‘Solar System Math’, and ‘Closest to One’. Students will take home some games to share with family and friends. In addition to working on basic facts, we will also introduce some logic puzzles, tangram puzzles and creative problem solving activities.

6th and 7th Gifted ELA teacher from Aurora Middle School (Has taught 4th grade math at Laurel and University School, 6th and 7th grade Gifted Math at Kenston and last year 5th grade math, science and social studies in Aurora)

Modern Foil Fencing Camp

July 26th – July 30th

Ages 8 to Adult

This camp is designed to introduce students ages 8 years thru adults to the fundamentals of modern foil fencing.

Instruction includes stretching, footwork, lunges, attack, parry-riposte, strategy, tactics, techniques and bouting. Fun and safety are emphasized. Fencing improves hand-eye coordination, agility, dexterity, and stamina, as well as developing social skills and manners. All equipment is provided.

Young Hoopsters Basketball Camp

July 26th – July 29th

The Young Hoopsters Camp is organized and run by Gary Love, who specializes in teaching the fundamentals of basketball: shooting, passing and ball handling.

Gary is gifted in teaching small children, bringing out the best in them while making the program fun and exciting! Register by 7/12 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Pee Wee Soccer Camp

July 19th – July 23rd

Age 3 to 2nd Grade

Your child will learn the fundamentals of soccer in a fun atmosphere. Dribbling, passing, shooting and a variety of other foot skills will be emphasized by experienced coach Dennis Weyn – Director of Coaching for East Side Kickers, Director of coaching for OPFC, Director of Ohio North Tikes and Spikes Program and founder of Weyn Soccer Group.

Camp is open to boys and girls. Bring water bottle and shin guards.

Bombers Little Spikers Volleyball Camp

July 19th – July 22nd
9:00am – 10:30am
Kindergarten – 3rd Grades

Learn the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting and spiking with fun drills and competitions. You will develop your volleyball skills with the coaching of talented and enthusiastic Kenston High School Volleyball Players.

Don’t forget your water and knee pads! Register by July 12th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

The Knight School Chess Camp

The Knight School Summer Chess Camp is the perfect way to keep the brain sharp during the summer while having a real blast! Chess Camp is a super-fun, high-energy chess experience in which kids celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, puzzlers for prizes, colorful Tactixbands, and action-packed chess games.
