The KCE Youth Wrestling program has been transformed into the Bomber Wrestling Club in an effort to take our Kenston Wrestlers to the next level.
Novice and Elite season packages are being offered for all ages.
Visit the Bomber Wrestling Club page for more information.
A meeting for parents & athletes will be held in the Kenston Middle School cafeteria on Monday, September 23rd to discuss the new program format and to answer any questions you may have. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Congratulations to our KCE wrestlers that placed at the state tournament!
Chase won many hard fought battles through the tournament never giving up a single point to an opponent until the finals match, in which he gave up 1 point. That was the deciding point in his finals match. Chase McKenna is our state champion runner up @ 79 lbs.
Carter rang up point after point throughout the state tournament winning with integrity and finesse, showing his dominance at the lightest weight class allowed in the state tournament. A formidable opponent for everyone he has wrestled, proven by taking his first loss of the season in the state finals. Carter Baran is our state champion runner up @52 lbs.
Jack lost his first match of the tourney early on and was sentenced to the consolation bracket. Jack ran back through his opponents ringing up wins until he had to wrestled the same kid again to get into the finals. Jack fell short but was determined to place and leave on a win. He won his finals match with a pin just before the clock ran out giving him the victory. Jack Rottman is our 5th place winner @67 lbs.
Also qualifying for this tough state tournament in some of the other grueling weight classes were JJ Strano @70 lbs. and Brady Baran @76 lbs., both who left their hearts on the mat!
I would personally like to thank all parents and wrestlers for your help this season. These kids wrestle the best in the state right in our own room every day.
Also, a great thanks to those wrestlers and parents who came to watch and cheer on the wrestlers that went to this meat grinder, even though they themselves were not participants. This shows what a true family we have in our KCE program.
The coaches that where there every day feel the same way. We can help you get there through teaching, training and caring, but we cannot wrestle for you. All you do comes from within – your intestinal fortitude, your will, and your preparedness for each and every match. That is what it is all about!
All that signed up for wrestling this year are champions, win or lose you showed the Kenston community what it is all about: a camaraderie, a friendship, and a fraternity you are now all a part of.
You have accomplished more in one season than most hope to accomplish in a lifetime!
