Saturday, April 27 • 11 AM to 3 PM at The West Woods
Celebrate Earth Day “Natural Resource Management-style” with amphibian/reptile displays, bird banding, wildlife presentations, a plant giveaway, a wild edible cooking demonstration, the return of the Garlic Mustard Pull Challenge (with prize baskets for first, second and third places), the Wrap It Up Food Truck, a pinecone bird feeder Nature craft for kids and more!
Featured among the wildlife presentations will be bat expert Maria Monarchino at 1:30 p.m. discussing the ecological importance of Red Bats.
Finally, art created from recycled materials will also be on display and for sale by local artisans: reclaimed wood artwork by The Shop Girls, and horseshoe and reclaimed materials artwork by David Detweiler & Aaron Yoder.
There’s certainly something for everyone here. We hope you’ll stop by to celebrate with us!
