League Details (TBall - 6th Grade)

T-Ball CoEd (PreK-Kindergarten) - SEASON BEGINS AFTER MEMORIAL DAY
This coed division is grade-based for boys and girls currently in Kindergarten or who will be attending Kindergarten in the Fall.   It is an introductory league focusing the proper mechanics of throwing, catching, hitting and base running.  Hitting from the tee builds the necessary hand-eye coordination and muscle memory to be successful when hitting a pitch.

  • Start Date: Saturday, June 5
    End Date: Saturday, July 17
    Games played: Saturdays
    Practices: Each team will have one 1-hr weekday practice, day and time is dependent on coach preference and field availability

Coach Pitch (1st-2nd Grades) -  This division introduces hitting a ball pitched by your coach.  Learning, having fun and building teamwork are the emphasis while teaching proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.  Games will be played on a M/W/F format with Sat as a possible rain makeup. Teams will have approximately 2 sessions per week. Once games begin, teams may not practice as all fields will be in use for games.

    Last Possible Game: Saturday, July 31

Minors (3rd-4th Grades) - This is an exciting year for young players, especially aspiring pitchers and catchers to develop a love for baseball. Pitching, stealing and sliding are introduced with an emphasis on reinforcing proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.  Games will be played on a M/W/F format with Sat as a possible rain makeup.  Teams will have approximately 2 sessions per week. Once games begin, teams may not practice as all fields will be in use for games.

Majors (5th-6th Grades) - This division increases in the amount of competitiveness and fine tunes the skills that were introduced in Minors.  Games will be played on a M/W/F format with Sat as a possible rain makeup.  Teams will have approximately 2 sessions per week. Once games begin, teams may not practice as all fields will be in use for games.

  • Kickoff: Saturday, May 15
  • Last Possible Game: Saturday, July 31
    Games played: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

Coaches are needed for all divisions. If you can volunteer to be a head or assistant coach, please Register as a Coach.

League Details - Middle & High School

Pony: April 15
Colt: April 30 - TEAM CANCELLED


Pony (7th-8th Grades) - Pony baseball is a grade-based league for players currently in 7th or 8th grade for the CURRENT 2020-21 school year.

Pony teams will play in the Mel Harder League. This league travels to other communities and must follow playtime rules and travel guidelines established in for the MH league.

Pony baseball provides a higher competition level and players will be expected to participate in practices, be at all games, and be a member of the team that represents their community.

  • Start Date: Tentatively May 1 pitching & catching
    Last Game: Mid-July
    Practices: Practices will be determined by coach preference and field availability
    Games & Rain Makeups: Games will be determined by the Mel Harder League IF AVAILABLE

Colt (9th-12th Grades) - U19 Colt Baseball.  Players must be a student in high school for the CURRENT 2020-21 school year.

Colt baseball will play in the Geauga Baseball League (GBL). This league travels to other communities and must follow playtime rules and travel guidelines established for the GBL league.

Colt baseball provides a higher competition level and players will be expected to participate in practices, be at all games, and be a member of the team that represents their community.

Practices will begin approximately May 8 for players NOT on a school baseball team.

  • Start Date: Tentatively May 1 pitching & catching
    Last Game: Sunday, July 18
    Practices: Practices will be determined by coach preference and field availability.
    Games & Rain Makeups: Games will be determined by the Geauga Baseball League
